Audium’s fifth Sound & Space Residency featured new immersive works by Pat Mesiti-Miller, Pamela Z, Barbara Nerness, and golden lionheart collier. Each artist brought a distinct approach to spatial sound, that bridged storytelling, experimental composition, performance, technology, and interdisciplinary art. 

Audium’s fourth New Voices Spatial Sound Residency featured immersive new works by Briana Marela, Phillip Laurent, and Shanti Lalita. The artists explored themes of grief, language, perception, embodiment, and human connection through original spatial sound compositions.

Audium’s 3rd edition of its signature sound residency show, NEW VOICES III; featured live performances by local artists Roco Córdova, Makana Muanga and Danishta Rivero. The show highlighted the voice as protagonist, pushing vocal boundaries.

Audium’s second New Voices Spatial Sound Residency featured original immersive works by Sharmi Basu, Alex Abalos, and Ronald Peabody. Over three months, the artists developed their deeply personal and speculative worlds—exploring Bay Area Filipino culture, African diasporic identity, caregiving, memory, and the overlooked sounds of San Francisco. Culminating in live performances and multimedia lobby installations, the residency expanded the boundaries of spatial storytelling through sound, projection, poetry, and electronics.

Audium’s first-ever Spatial Sound Residency brought together Victoria Shen, Alexa Burrell (LEXAGON), and Noah Berrie for a six-month exploration of immersive sound, projection, and live performance. The cohort developed original works that culminated in Audium: New Voices, laying the foundation for the residency program that continues today.
